aircraft crash sites
During WWII there was a great need for aircrew in the RAF. Many inexperienced crews took to the skies and whether due to a lack of knowledge or a lack of the modern technology that we now take for granted many came to grief on the hills and mountains of Britain. Many of these are in remote locations and our tours will take you to some of the sites. Some still contain large amounts of wreckage and others show no trace.
Hear the stories behind the crashes and learn of the sacrifices given by aircrew, many of whom were still training and a long way from home.
We regularly hold special walks to crash sites in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund.
